After more than a half hour, this is as far as I got:
This yarn is really thin, so if you want a dense "lawn", it takes a lot of wrapping. After JJ went to bed I finished (taking over an hour) and left the flowers for the next night then I was finally done. I got some yellow ribbon and hung it up on the front door (I used an upside down hook on the back of the door to hang it).I used the ol' upside down hook on the inside of the door trick to hang it. |
If I were to do it again, I would definitely use a smaller wreath. Not only did this take two full skeins of yarn (thankfully I ordered two!), it looks a little big on the door. I think it needs a little "bare feet welcome" sign too - I just haven't figured out how I want to do it yet. Overall though, I think its cute and welcoming. We had a gorgeous weekend this weekend in NJ and its finally starting to feel like spring. Hope you guys had a great weekend too!
